Auctions finishing soon have their countdown glowing red, like a little server alarm saying “hurry up.” The regular ones look, well, normal, and the not-yet-live ones are grey, quietly judging your impatience. You can follow auctions on specific servers and components to get notified the moment they go live.

Once you’ve found your treasure, place your bid. For fairness and mild adrenaline, we use popcorn bidding. That means if someone bids in the final moments, the timer automatically extends by one minute. 

If your bid is the highest when the timer finally gives up, congrats, you’ve won! cue fanfares and twinkling server lights. Within 24 hours after the auction ends, we’ll send you payment details. They contain the hammer price, VAT, and shipping costs. You can also see the total cost immediately after an auction, in the shopping cart.

You have seven days to pay, which is plenty of time to celebrate and/or explain the purchase to your household. You can pay by card or bank transfer, we do not accept cash payments. After you pay, we'll send you an invoice.

Once you enter a bid, you cannot retract it. So bid wisely!

A bid is legally binding and remains in effect until the online auction ends or someone places a higher bid.

Your shipping costs depend on the delivery country, weight and dimensions of the item, and the shipping method you selected. After you win the bid, we send you payment details with estimated shipping costs.

We work with FedEx, UPS, and Mainfreight to get your tech treasure safely to your doorstep. After your payment is confirmed, we pack your items with extreme care and protection, then ship them off. You’ll receive tracking info once everything is on the way.

If you win multiple items within seven days, you can combine orders. Just select the “combine” option at checkout. It saves you money and makes your delivery person slightly less confused.

As a rule of thumb, we don't offer a commercial warranty. Some items will have it, though, so check the product description. If it mentions the warranty, it's there. If it doesn't, it's not.

Yes - consumers have the right to return the item within 14 days of delivery, no questions asked. 

To do that, you need to send an email to support-auctionIT@iuppiter.nl, clearly stating you want to withdraw your purchase. And within those 14 days.

You have to return the item in original condition. The shipping costs of the return are on you.

We will send you back the hammer price and VAT, and the shipping costs of the first shipment (unless you only returned a part of your order).

We cannot accept returns of items that were inseparably mixed with other stuff, unsealed products for which the original seal was broken, and those that got devalued because of your handling.

The hammer prices (highest, winning bid) are excluding VAT.

After the auction ends, we calculate the VAT based on your delivery country and item type.

The total VAT is clearly stated on your invoice. We use a One Stop Shop system for VAT management that guarantees applying the correct VAT per country.

Business customers 

Registered business customers within the EU can get the reverse VAT charge. For that, you need to provide a valid EU VAT number.

To apply this to auctions, place a bid with your business account. When you win, provide the EU VAT number so that we can verify it via VIES verification.

The 0% VAT will be automatically applied to hammer prices and shipping costs, and the invoice will state "Reverse charge". You have to report the VAT to your tax authority.

Fair warning: stating false VAT numbers will lead to account cancellation and legal consequences.

Dutch businesses 

If you're a business based in the Netherlands, you may face the unpleasant surprise that you can't get the reverse VAT charge. We're a Dutch company, so your purchase qualifies as a domestic sale. Despair not: you can reclaim the 21% VAT we're obliged to charge in your regular VAT return, so the net cost to you remains zero. 

We use several tools to test components. We plug each part into a dedicated testing server and let
the diagnostic devices run their magic. We perform load tests, long-duration
stress scans, thermal monitoring, and PSU checks. One of our tools generates detailed reports about the condition of every single component inside the test server. Green means good. Red means “nope.”

Hard drives get their own spa treatment.
First, we wipe them to the NIST SP 800-88 standard on ADISA Product Assurance certified equipment.
Then we test them with specialized equipment. The goal is to fix what we can and be transparent when we can’t fix something fully but it can still be of
good use, that's why we use our own grading system.
