Before an item gets listed, it goes through an extensive testing process. If you can see the listing, it means the product was tested and fulfills our standards. Which further means: it’s ready to get into your system and do its work.
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we test, so that you can get the gist.
Tested, approved, tested
We first put the components into a testing server. We do the full game, you know, cables in a port, RAMs and CPUs in their little slots, with a configuration that depends on the things we need to test. Then we plug the server into the test computer to check health and power, prevent failure and maintain uptime.
With specialized programs, we check the components - CPU, memory, controllers, network ports, power supplies, fans - under sustained load. We run long tests & error scans, and monitor thermal and PSU health. Afterwards, we produce extensive reports that review the health of each component. If they pass, they are marked green. If they don’t, it’s in purple.

Wear, tear, and beauty
We take pictures of every item we sell, in our fixed way (set of angles, lightning, that kind of stuff). Some products will look more ‘experienced’ than others in terms of scratches or rack marks - that’s normal for hardware that got pulled out of a data center. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder: regular wear is not a defect but we don’t hide it, either. Check the photos, what you see is what you get.
If we find any broken, non-working, missing, or bent part, we write it transparently in the product description, whether it’s visible in the photos or not. If something in the photos just doesn’t sit right with you, ask us before you bid.
Every now and then, we offer new stock. The listing will describe it as such and will state whether the product is factory-sealed or new in an open box. If the description doesn’t explicitly say “new”, well, it isn’t.
Spa treatment for hard drives
Hard drives get a separate spa treatment. We put a lot of care into wiping out their content professionally to the NIST SP 800-88 standard on ADISA Product Assurance certified equipment. Then we test them further, using specialized equipment. We fix what we can, and if there’s something we can’t fix but it can still be put to good use, we are transparent about its state. Warranty
As a rule of thumb, we don't offer a commercial warranty on drives. Some items will have it, though, so check the product description. If it mentions the warranty, it's there. If it doesn't, it's not.
Besides the warranty, you have a 14-day cooling off period - if you change your mind within that time, you can return the item, no questions asked. See how to do that here.
What the customers say
Our methods work pretty decent - in January 2026, the rate for RMA across all our sales channels stood at 5.5%. And even though, when it comes to RMA, the customers are writing about rather unpleasant stuff, they still appreciate the professional support that our customer service offers. As of September 2026, our eBay rating shows 99.6% satisfied customers, with “all according to description” and “no surprises” as a common compliment. Other praises we get are for delivery time (5*) and communication (4.9*) and yeah, we’ll take it all.
In short: we’ll auction refurbished servers and server components here, daily, and we’re serious about this stuff. You can expect high quality for a good price, interesting products, we’ll throw in some good customer service, too.
